According to Franchise USA Magazine, Gary Lawrence Brackett rose to national fame when he was picked up as a free agent for the Indianapolis Colts in 2003. He went on to play for nine seasons. During his tenure, Brackett was most noted for winning Super Bowl XLI over the Chicago Bears, as noted by Franchise USA Magazine. He was named defensive captain of the Colts, had over 120 tackles, and he was twice named AFC Defensive Player-of-the-Week. 

Brackett had a dream both in and out of the NFL. It was to coach.
